October is a busy month around Southern Orange County! There are numerous events going on that are family friendly, a few that adults will love as well.

Haunted Trails 10/24, 10/25 & 10/26 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Watch for Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel & Gretel, Rapunzel and other characters that will haunt each and every visitor. Groups of 10-13 people are escorted through mazes, tents,and ultimately pass through the graveyard. Wear comfortable walking shoes. No costumes allowed. AVCA Fall Harvest Festival 10/19 10:00am - 12:00pm
Join the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) for a morning of fall fun! The annual Fall Harvest event includes: family games, pony rides, arts & crafts, balloon twisters, and DJ entertainment.
Wear your costume as you walk through the costume parade which begins at 10:30 a.m. Bring THREE (3) canned food items to be entered in an opportunity drawing for a prize. 2ndAnnual Beer & Brauts Festival 10/25 6:00pm-9:00pm The Aliso Viejo Conference Center on Friday, October 25 will host its second annual "Beer & Brats Fall Festival" from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 31 Santa Barbara Drive. The Aliso Viejo Conference Center overlooks the golf course near the intersection of Glenwood and Golf Drive.
The fun-filled festival caters to adults and kids alike. For adults, the event will feature craft beer samples from specialty breweries, beer-boiled Bratwurst on homemade pretzel rolls and Parmesan truffle potato chips.
Children ages 3-12 will enjoy a private "Kids Lounge" with games, activities and dinner.
Tickets are $15 for adults 21 and over; and $15 for kids 3-12. Other beverages will be available at Happy Hour prices.

Hometown Halloween 10/26 4:00pm-8:00pm
Celebrate this fall holiday in style with themed carnival game booths, the 'Whacky Witch'n Kitchen' pint-sized haunted house, costume parade, crafts, face painting and pony rides.

Doheny State Beach Halloween Haunt 10/26 6:30pm-8:30pm
Don’t miss out on Doheny’s most festive event of the year! Bring your family and friends to celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe environment with good ole fashioned spookiness, arts and crafts, a fun zone, and an array of educational booths. The event runs from 6:30pm – 8:30pm and meets at picnic sites A & B. There is no charge for admission however, a donation of one non-perishable item per person is greatly appreciated. Don’t forget to dress up those little ones!
Heritage Hill Historic Park in Lake Forest is celebrating Halloween early with its annual haunt on Friday and Autumn Harvest Festival on Saturday.
On Friday, Oct. 18, the 6th annual Haunt at Heritage Hillincludes a haunted schoolhouse, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a scream zone and a special screening of the classic movie "Dracula." There's also a DJ and dancing.
